RETRACTABLE AWNINGS

SHOULD THE ARMS BE BENT WHEN FULLY EXTENDED?

The arms need to be bent in order to keep tension on the fabric. If the arms straighten out, they will lock and you will not be able to bring the awning back in.

CAN I USE THE AWNING IN THE RAIN?

You may use the awning during light rain, but you must make sure you have a decent pitch on the awning so that the rain runs off the fabric and does not pool in the awning. With larger awnings, the collection of water on top of the fabric will be more problematic, so we suggest you not use awnings over 20 feet wide in the rain. The awning is water resistant, NOT waterproof, and you may get some percolation through the seams.

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY IS THERE?

We offer a 10 year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. You can learn more about our product warranty here.

WHY IS THERE EXTRA FABRIC ON THE ROLL?

We manufacture the awning to have extra fabric on the roll in order to finish the look of our product. Every awning is set at its furthest extension in our shop when it is manufactured.

DO I NEED A SPECIFIC TYPE OF SWITCH TO RUN THE AWNING?

You need a single pole, double throw, three-way rocker switch. You may either purchase one from our company, or purchase one from your electrician. Using a different type of switch will void your warranty.

MODERN PERGOLAS

WHAT FINISH AND COLORS ARE AVAILABLE?

Our modern pergolas by StruXure have a powder-coated aluminum finish, which provides a scratch resistant and matte look. There are six standard colors options available — white, beige, bronze, adobe, black and gray. Custom colors can be requested for more unique design customization.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS?

The louvers in the system interlock when closed, allowing for water to be redirected and flow into its 360-degree integrated gutter system.

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY IS THERE?

StruXure offers a limited lifetime warranty for the lifetime of each product against manufacturer defects in materials. You can learn more about StruXure’s product warranty here.

CAN IT BE ATTACHED TO AN EXISTING STRUCTURE?

Yes, the system can be attached to an existing structure or built as a free-standing unit.

IS A PERMIT REQUIRED?

Yes, these pergolas are considered a permanent structure and do require a permit. We file all construction and/or zoning applications on behalf of the homeowner.

Motorized Screens

WHAT'S THE LARGEST SIZE AVAILABLE?

These screens can be manufactured up to 25′ wide and 16′ tall.

DO I NEED TO HIRE AN ELECTRICIAN?

It’s completely optional, as the units plug directly into a 110-volt outlet — which means no wiring or electrician needed.

HOW DO I OPERATE THE SYSTEM?

Remote control options include a hand-held remote, wall switch, or via the MyLink smart phone app.

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY IS THERE?

Commercial Awnings

DO YOU SELL METAL AWNINGS?

No, our awnings are made with acrylic fabrics.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO ADD A LOGO?

Yes, we can add lettering or graphics to any of our commercial awnings styles for an additional cost.

CAN YOU REPLACE THE FABRIC ON AN EXISTING FRAME?

It depends on the kind of fixed awning that you have. Our awnings are aluminum mig welded, mill finish frame awnings, so we don’t do fabric replacements on awnings that are tied-down underneath.

WILL MAJESTIC TAKE CARE OF PERMITS?

Permits for commercial awnings, if needed, are the customer's responsibility.

Fabric Replacement

HOW DO I CLEAN MY NEW AWNING FABRIC?

Fully extend your awning and hose any dirt off the top. You may use a light hand soap to assist in cleaning the fabric. There is a mildew coating on all fabrics, so we suggest that you not scrub the fabric in order to preserve the coating. It is not necessary to wait for the awning to dry completely before it is closed (the awning will dry when it is closed on the roll). However, you may extend the awning to allow complete drying when the weather is fine.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY AWNING STOPS WORKING AFTER THE FABRIC REPLACEMENT?

Majestic Awning will only be responsible for the fabric recover and will not be responsible for any framing, mechanical, or motor issues that may arise. Any electrical work that needs to be addressed is the responsibility of the client and their own electrician.

IS THERE A HELPFUL TRICK TO PREVENT BUGS?

You can place two pots of citronella under your awning, as this may help keep insects away and does not pass through the fabric. Bergamot candles may be used as well.

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY IS THERE?

The warranty coverage period for fabric is 10 years from the original purchase date. You can learn more about our product warranty here.

AWNING MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS

I DON'T HAVE A MAJESTIC AWNING. CAN YOU STILL HELP?

We custom build our Majestic awnings, so our parts are not compatible with other awning brands. If we cannot help you, we will try to refer you to another company that can.

WHY IS MY AWNING LEANING TO ONE SIDE?

Awnings may become uneven over time and are fixed by having an arm adjustment done.

HOW CAN I REPLACE MY VALANCE?

You can call us with the width size of your awning (or we can find it in our records), then mail in or drop off your valance, and we will let you know the cost to replace it with the same fabric or a solid color to match.

To remove the valance: unscrew the bottom screws on each plastic end cap located on the sides of the front-bar. Without removing the top screw, swivel the cap and remove the screw that you will find buried in the ends of the valance (without removing these screws, it will be very hard to slide out the valance). Lastly, slide the valance off of the front bar. Replace the screws on the end cap.

DO YOU OFFER FABRIC CLEANING?

No, we do not offer fabric cleaning services at this time. However, give us a call to request a fabric cleaning and maintenance guide with tons of helpful tips!

MY AWNING ISN'T OPENING. DO I NEED A NEW MOTOR?

If your motorized awning isn’t opening, try resetting the breaker box, waiting a few minutes, and trying again. If that doesn’t work, give us a call and we will send one of our techs to troubleshoot the motor and/or replace it if needed.

What is a Leisure Room, and how does it differ from a traditional outdoor space?

A Leisure Room is an enclosed outdoor space designed to provide year-round comfort and versatility, allowing you to enjoy your hot tub, patio, or spa area regardless of the weather.

How do I maintain my Leisure Room throughout different seasons?

Our systems allow easy transition between screen panels for warm weather and glass or vinyl panels for colder months. Regular cleaning of frames and panels helps maintain their appearance.

Can I install lighting or heating/cooling systems in my Leisure Room?

Absolutely! You can integrate lighting fixtures as well as heating/cooling systems into your design to enhance comfort during all seasons.

Can I customize the design of my Leisure Room?

Yes, our Leisure Rooms are fully customizable to fit your style and needs. You can choose from various shapes, panel types (glass or screen), frame colors, and roof fabrics.

Are Leisure Rooms energy-efficient?

Yes, our enclosures help reduce heat loss in winter by trapping warmth inside while keeping out cold air. In summer, they provide shade and ventilation control.

Does adding a Leisure Room increase property value?
